How has it been and is it for your hostel group at the moment?

So we began to prepare for a season launch without a date but in conditions truly different from those endured during all the times we’ve been in the sector. First of all, we allowed about the need to keep our guests informed, since a good part of them repeat nearly every time we strive to constantly contemporize our website, increase exertion on our social networks and noway stop communicating with our guests through all possible means.

In the morning we lived a lot of queries because every day the news changed and we had to manage multitudinous reservations without knowing truly well what was going to be. also, with the confinement and end of borders, the situation came clearer and we saw that the swish thing was to work to adapt our taverns to the new situation.

And for the workers, how do you add up the during and after the ending, the adaptation to the new protocols, the involvement…

The response of our workers has been exceptional. Everyone has been involved from the veritably morning and has taken power of the situation. They’ve entered specific training by Covid- 19 health alert, to respond with maximum guarantees to any contingency, conforming to the new reality and complying with all established protocols, both for their own safety and for that of any frequenter. I would like to thank you for this great response and emphasize that without it we would not have been suitable to face an also complicated situation.

How do you carry out the continuing, under what conditions, and with what perspectives?

The verity is that it has been a good thing that the frequency of the Covid- 19 has been low in the Balearic islands and that we’ve been suitable to partake in the birdman plan of the Government of the Balearic islands, authorized by the Spanish Government. thus, on June 18 we opened our hotel VIVA Golf & Gym overgrown- ups Only 18, being settlers at a public position along with numerous other taverns that opened on the 15th in Playa de Palma. Other establishments, analogous to the VIVA Blue & Spa, Predi Son Jaumell Hotel Rural, VIVA Cala Mesquida Resort & Gym, and Viva Suites & Gym overgrown- ups Only 16 July. thus, we face the great responsibility of achieving a swish holiday experience for our guests in this truly atypical situation, prioritizing at all times their safety.

I want to emphasize that the response of our first guests to this “ new normal ” has been extraordinary. They’ve each understood the need for the multitudinous contingency measures espoused and some of those we’ve been suitable to solicit have expressed their complete peace of mind and acceptance. As for the conditions, we’ve arranged all the hygiene and prevention measures in all the areas of the taverns, with a buffet defended by defenses and supported by our staff, a menu with a QR law in the caffs, payments by card or mobile phone, signposting for social distance and capacity, information signs, online check- heft and check- out, and multitudinous other measures. The prospects are uncertain and the opening of the other taverns of the company will depend on the demand for reservations.

What do you suppose about the possibility of ‘ saving ’ the season and in what proportion?

It’s still beforehand to know how our guests will respond, but the verity is that none of them have it easy. The closest bones because their profitable situation or query has left them without a budget for leaves, and those coming from other countries because they still don’t know if they will have flights to come also. We give great significance to original and public tourism as well as international tourism, the ultimate being conditioned to a large extent to the situation of the epidemic in the issuing requests and the opening of borders. As I was saying, we consider ourselves lucky to have been suitable to drink foreign sightseers in Spain before anyone else, but we need the flux of guests to be maintained and we suppose that this is a common task for everyone hotel companies, airlines, central administration, indigenous administration, agencies and of course wholesalers. In malice of everything, we believe in the strength of Mallorca as a rubberneck destination.

What’s the communication for your guests?

Communication is one of complete peace of mind. In fact, by the time this interview is published, we will be serving them in some of our taverns. The verity is that we’ve taken great care in espousing precautionary measures and we aren’t going to stop attending them at all times, despite the obligatory social distancing. We are induced that we will overcome the challenge of making safety compatible with the individualized treatment that characterizes us in a family hotel company, and I say family both because of the power and origins of the company and because of our work philosophy and relationship with our guests.
